The story starts when they went on a blind date back in 2004. They got along right away because they were both humble individuals doing missionary work. It was pretty much a given that they would get married and start a family of their own! Even so, they decided to take their time with their relationship.

Their relationship blossomed when they went on missionary trips. Aaron and Rachel eventually decided to go steady and make the relationship exclusive. There was something else that forged a deeper bond. “When we were still dating, a common bond that drew us together was the fact that Rachel and I both wanted to adopt,” Aaron recounted.
