Famous Cast Reunions That Will Make You Feel Old

Published on 11/02/2017

We all have those shows and movies we grew up on. They became staples of our households, whether we watched them as kids or with our kids. Sometimes we can only picture the cast in that one context, which is why we are bringing all the cast reunions you need to see together in one convenient list. These photos will make you nostalgic and also have you asking where did the time go!

Back to the Future

Speaking of passing time, who doesn’t love this 1980s sci-fi where Michael J. Fox plays a young teen who time travels. Both Christopher Lloyd and Fox are iconic in this classic film series. Ugh, it just warms our hearts to see the cast together again, but now in the future…from the original 1985 release that is!

That 70’s Show

Hanging out, after school, the same old show that you watched last week! Okay but actually, how many times have we all rewatched episodes from That 70’s Show on our couch after school? This reunion is super cute, but we have to mention Kelso and Jackie went from dating on the show to having a real life romance! Seriously, how cute is it that Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are now married with a daughter?

Lord of the Rings

This epic film series, based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s novels made history with its blockbuster film series. The filming took eight years alone so naturally, we expected reunions with this tight knit cast! They look just as goofy and fun as ever.

School of Rock

How hilarious was Jack Black when he pretended to be a teacher? The film was so successful that they made it into a Broadway show a few years after. Of course, it’s always fun to see a cast of mostly kids years after. I mean, we knew where Miranda Cosgrove had been, but we love seeing the whole gang back together! Rock on!

Sex and the City

This series introduced us to cosmos, modern dating life and so much more. Fans just couldn’t get enough of the four NYC gals, so the series released movies based on the show too! It’s amazing to see how much the four actresses have changed over time. Styles may come and go, but friends and cosmos are for life.

Friends

Wow, where do we begin with this 90’s sitcom that launched all of the cast’s careers? Unsurprisingly, the show also heavily influenced viewers. Studies show Joey’s ‘How you doin?’ even made the phrase become popular slang. Looks like since the show, they’re all doing pretty well!

Harry Potter

Looking back to the first of this blockbuster franchise, it’s amazing how young the cast looks! Well, remember the first movie was filmed in 2000. Ugh, seeing the cast reunite is so bittersweet. Luckily, we have seven films to choose from to rewatch when we feel a bit nostalgic.

Thelma & Louise

Imagine this selfie with George Clooney…he actually auditioned five times for J.D! Anyway, this phenomenal film was nominated for six Academys! Many also praised it as a positive feminist movie.

The Nanny

Firstly, seeing this picture or any of Fran, we immediately hear her iconic voice and feel completely nostalgic for her 90’s sitcom. Did you know, much of the show was based off details in Fran’s real life. In fact, Fran’s parents are named Sylvia and Morty on the show and in reality!

E.T.

Who else thinks of this movie when they see Reese’s Pieces? Fun fact, they used Albert Einstein, the poet Carl Sandburg and a pug to make the model of ET’s face. While we don’t have an update on our favorite alien, you can enjoy Drew Barrymore and Henry Thomas, dressed in an homage to his costume, with Steven Spielberg.

Mean Girls can’t help it that it’s so popular. Really, they’re even opening a Broadway show. That is so fetch!

The Wonder Years

Watching Kevin and his friend Paul, along with the rest of the family, was hilarious and relatable. Apparently, in almost every single dinner scene, an Arnold would mention a potato dish. Usually, it was Norma. Suddenly, we’re feeling very hungry! It doesn’t help that the reunion photo is at a table!

The Princess Bride

One of our favorite fairy tale movies, The Princess Bride came out back in 1987. Where has the time gone? Mandy Patinkin, who played Inigo Montoya, claims injured himself on set. No, this isn’t your average stunt failure. From holding in laughter while working with Billy Crystal, he bruised a rib.

Ghostbusters

Who you gonna call? This was such a hit, they remade the film with a female cast in 2016. Lucky for us fans, the new cast also brought the originals back together. Unfortunately, we’re missing Harold Ramis, who played Dr. Egon. He passed away in 2014.

The Little Rascals

Did they ever figure out the number for 911? We sure hope so! Alfalfa and the gang got back together for one epic reunion! During this shoot, we found out something crucial. Apparently, Ross Bagley aka Buckwheat had improvised the silly song, “We Got a Dollar.” Now, that’s some real talent!

Full House

Audiences watched the Tanner girls from childhood to their teens going on dates and through to adulthood. For some of us, that wasn’t quite enough. Want more of the Tanners? You got it dude! Netflix released Fuller House in 2016.

Trainspotting

Wow, who could forget Ewan McGregor’s iconic role as Renton? He researched about crack and heroin in preparation by reading literature and also visiting with recovering addicts. Okay, here’s the crazy part. He learned how to cook heroin and even considered injecting it to better understand. Thankfully, he decided against that!

Matilda

Based on the Roald Dahl book, this movie featured our favorite girl genius, Matilda! By the way, the actress who played Miss Trunchbull, Pam Ferris, stayed in character throughout filming. Therefore, she hoped the kids would show actual fear during shooting. Speaking of Miss Trunchbull, we could go for some chocolate cake now!

Married with Children

Probably the opposite of the loving Cosbys, the Bundys were a mess! Actually, before they came up with the show’s name, “Not the Cosbys” was an option in the running. Now, we all love Ed O’Neill aka Al Bundy as Jay in Modern Family.

The X Files

Arguably, one of the best ever sci-fi drama TV series, we all loved watching Dana and Fox. Notorious for his satire and wit, Agent Mulder came back in two films to the delight of fans. Then, again he came back in 2015 for a continuation of the series. Interestingly enough, Mulder is the believer of supernatural happenings on the show while Scully is more skeptical. However, the opposite is true for real life, Gillian Anderson is the real believer while David Duchovny is a self-proclaimed skeptic.

Star Trek: The Next Generation

With Star Trek, you need to be specific. So, to clarify, we’re talking about the TV series that aired from 1987 to 1994. When they ended the series at season seven, it actually surprised cast members since they signed on for eight, not seven seasons. Luckily, the end of the series was not the last time these all stars got together!

The Sandlot

Can you get more classic American coming of age than a story about young boys and baseball? Here are some fun details you may not have known. Did you notice every single time Wendy is featured, they played a song by The Drifters? Also, while filming the movie, it was extremely hot. So hot, that Tom Guiry, aka Scotty Smalls, felt pretty dizzy and accidentally ran into a cameraman. Ouch!

Baywatch

Perhaps, David Hasselhoff’s most iconic moment in TV history, Baywatch aired from 1989 to 2001. Most know that Pamela Anderson and David Charvet were dating before joining the series. Though, a lot of fans don’t know that Paula Abdul and Sandra Bullock were both considered for roles. They made it into a film in 2017 starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
