While the NFL may be defined by the physical talent on the field, it is actually cultivated by the elite coaches that watch from the sidelines. While players go to school and rack up college loans, coaches work their way through the system in order to get the top job. Today we are going to look at the greatest NFL coaches to EVER step onto the gridiron.

Tony Dungy

We are going to start off with one of the best coaches in the history of the game, and certainly in Indianapolis history. Tony Dungy scored a 139 – 69 record over 12 years in the league. Along the way Dungy coached Tampa Bay and Indianapolis, leading the Colts to a Super Bowl Championship. Dungy was rewarded for his effort with a Hall of Fame induction in 2016 as well as a cozy job in the booth.

Mike Tomlin

Tomlin is currently the Pittsburgh Steelers coach and if he carries on with this impressive record, he’ll creep his way to the top of this list. He has 4 division titles wins and was Super Bowl XLIII champion. Not bad for someone who has been in big league since 2007.
