Baltimore Orioles Fans Say Goodbye

There’s a reason fans called Ripken, “The Iron Man.” Definitely, one of MLB’s best shortstops and third basemans, he made quite the mark on the Baltimore Orioles over his years. Fans had a tough time saying goodbye to this 19 time All-Star who held the record for consecutive games played, beating the famous Lou Gehrig’s previous record. Naturally, Ripken was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007 and had the fourth highest voting percentage in history at 98.53!

Mike Trout Makes History

During the 2016 All-Star game, Mike Trout,, of the LA Angels, made history. Maybe you recall, he went down as the only player in MLB history to get a hit on his first plate appearance in five consecutive midsummer classics. Oh, and as if that wasn’t enough, Trout has set many other records. Trout became the second-youngest All-Star Game MVP in history. Perhaps, you remember his performance during the All-Star games, he got a single in 2012, then double in 2013 and of course, a triple in 2014. Then in 2015, he got a home run all in just his first plate appearance in each game!
