Phillies fans were ecstatic to say the least. I mean, Roy Halladay had specifically requested to be traded to the Phillies from the Blue Jays, and he was showing Philadelphia what a real asset he was in the game. To begin to comprehend how fans were feeling, remember that no single pitcher in MLB history ever threw a no-hitter in the regular season and a no-hitter in that same postseason. Oh and the Reds hadn’t had a no-hit since 1971 before this game. Yeah no big deal.
