Kitchen Nightmares
Without Gordon Ramsey, reality television simply would not be the same. He has, however, come under fire for how this show is run. Evidently, it exaggerated the bad aspects of a Manhattan establishment. In fact, he was sued for it! But in the end, the plaintiff made the decision to withdraw the claim.

The good news is that this show is not as phony as some of the other food competition shows. It still pre-plans some things, though, to add a little TV magic. One of the celebrity chefs threw a fit during the first season of the show because the food was cold by the time the judges could taste it. To get close-up images of the dishes, the cameramen had to keep everyone waiting. In other words, the competitors had to prepare two dishes: one for the judges and one for the cameras!
