Simon Cowell wanted to start his own own talent show after leaving American Idol. The X Factor is also rumored to have pre-selected the contestants that advance to the stage! This is a smart approach to prevent choosing persons with the same talents in a single episode, in addition to making things more interesting. To be fair, it is more entertaining to watch because of this.

The program follows pairs of people who are somehow tied to one another as they participate in challenges and races all over the world. Since many people don’t think it’s possible to travel that much for competitions like that, many people think it’s phony. However, they have also mentioned how carefully the teams were picked. This was undoubtedly done to make sure that they had couples of different ages, nationalities, and sexual orientations.
