During the peak of the e-commerce market, many modern retailers definitely lost out on a lot. There have numerous closures amongst local and international brands. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a large number of retailers shut their doors and close down their businesses. Sadly, this unfortunate sensation is expected to increase well into 2020. Payless ShoeSource is sadly boasting for all the wrong reasons- they have the highest number of store closures out of any company expected to be closed during this year. The company plans to close over 2,500 stores, this includes current clearance sales to eliminate their products. However, a few stores will remain open until May, while the other stores closed as early as March.
