Supermodels…we love them, we hate them, but mostly, we hate how much we love them. From the old school style of Twiggy to modern Instagram models like Kendall Jenner, the trends and fashions of supermodels are always changing, but their overwhelming beauty remains constant. These gals don’t need fashion courses – when it comes to looks and sick style, they’ve got it down to an art.

Lisa Fonssagrives

The first person to ever achieve official supermodel status was a woman from Sweden named Lisa Fonssagrives. She earned more than double the average wage of other models of the same era – make those $$, girl. She worked with the hottest photographers, and even married Irving Penn in 1950 – talk about a power couple!

Suzy Parker

Suzy Parker – the model, the woman, the legend. She was a model for four full decades (from the 1940s to the 1970s). At her most popular, she was the most photographed woman in the world. Yep, let that sink in. And if that wasn’t enough, she even inspired the character of Jo Stockton (played by Audrey Hepburn) in Funny Face, and had an (unreleased) Beatles song named after her.
