The firefighters faced a dilemma. They had to decide whether to leave the babies there, hoping that the mother would come back and get her babies out herself or take them out because the mother couldn’t be seen. They knew for sure that the babies couldn’t get out by themselves. The team knew they had to find out what kind of animal these babies were at this point.

As the team had no idea what kind of animals were trapped, they knew they needed to get them out to find out. If these babies were dealing with domestic animals, then some serious help would be needed. If they were wild animals, however, they would not be this desperate.
