The rescuers made sure they were wearing gloves so that they could avoid the babies getting their scent. When they were out, the firefighters laid out some sheets by the sewer to put the babies there. This would keep the little ones safe as well.

Slowly, a firefighter reached out into the sewer and carefully picked up the first animal. The team was shocked when they first saw the animal because it was tiny. The animal rolled around innocently as soon as it was placed on the sheet.
