The rescuers had to make sure the babies were all healthy and all right once the team had gotten the puppies, all safe and sound, out of the sewer. To have the puppies looked at and to know if the children were not hurt in any way, they went to a Humane Society.

Good News
The puppies, thankfully, were all in relatively good health. The babies didn’t seem to be malnourished and were strong. Having guaranteed that the puppies were all right, the firefighters decided their job was done.
